I was hoping the will of the Iranian people would prevail, but it seems there is either a dictator now in place or the majority of Iranians want to continue the failed policies of the current administration. I grew up with Iranian friends, brothers Romak and Seimack and I know Iranians are indeed warm people and the current Iranian foreign policy is not the will of the people.

I was hoping finally, the U.S. and Iran could begin digging ourselves out of the holes dug by both countries over the years as stability in Iran would bring more stability to the Middle East. Hopefully, the will of the people will prevail.

Conservative incumbent stokes paranoia, inflames populist national pride with incendiary rhetoric, lambastes opponent as "unpatriotic". And wins reelection. Oh dear, Iran. Couldn't you find a better example than America 2004?
Iranian opposition now looking for young, charismatic "anti-fear" candidate for 2014, middle name preference, "Bush".
