Jackson, NJ – The Lucy N. Holman School will provide grief counseling on Thursday morning, July 2nd,  between 9am and 11am to assist families with information, dialogue and resources to help children cope with the loss of their fellow student, a six year old boy who died Saturday.

The boy was admitted to the hospital on Thursday, June 25th, just one day after the last day of school in Jackson Township.  He died a few days later on Saturday, June 27th.    The confirmation was the 31st in Ocean County, but the first death reported.   Earlier in June, students from Johnson and Goetz schools were reportedly diagnosed with the H1N1 virus, but those children recovered from the sickness.   The health department reports “the young child had other underlying medical conditions.”
