Sayreville, NJ – The Jackson Little League 12 year olds, District 18 champions, travelled north to Sayerville on Monday to face the Monmouth District 19 champion team from Manalapan. Once again, Jackson came to play baseball as a solid pitching performance by Danny Serreino and Brandon Janofsky held Manalapan to just 2 runs over 6 innings, backed by near flawless fielding behind them
Jackson jumped to an early lead with another home run by Shane Brand as Jackson once again sent opposing outfielders over the fence.
With their victory, Jackson earned a day off and will play the winner of tomorrow’s Nottingham vs. North Wall matchup in Sayreville Wednesday night at 8pm.

Up in the sky. It’s a bird. It’s plane. No, it’s just another rocket shot hit over the fence by Jackson Centerfielder Shane Brand.

Kyle Missry, his 1st home run of the tournament and the 9th different player to take one over the wall from Jackson, adding insurance runs to extend the lead for Jackson .

It seems like when pitcher Danny Serreino isn’t hitting home runs or being thrown at, he’s being intentionally walked, setting up RBI opportunities for Brand and Lazicki. Doesn’t anyone read the scouting reports these days?

Jackson’s bleacher creatures showed up in force yet again.
