Jacskon, NJ – The Holbrook Junior League All-Stars paraded down Champions Way, named in honor of past, present and future township youth sports champions like themselves and were one of the star attractions of the Jackson Day parade.
The boys overcame all the odds this season becoming the first little league team from Jackson Township to compete in the international Little League World Series tournament.
It was a long summer for the kids in red as they defeated opponent after opponent with ease and in style. After winning the local district 18 and section 3 tournaments, Holbrook went on to become the New Jersey Junior League Champions and followed that title up by becoming the Eastern Region Champions and earning their ticket to play in the world series tournament in Michigan.
The ticket was not free and parents and league officials put together what they had to fly the boys to Michigan to take their place on the world stage. The boys played well, finishing 3rd in the nation and 5th in the entire world, going 2-2 in the tournament.

The team gained the attention of the entire town, but especially one person, who wishes to remain anonymous who donated $6,000 to the boys on behalf of Jackson Township to say thanks and congratulations on a job well done.
The Holbrook Little League was presented an oversized $6,000 check by Mayor Mike Reina on Jackson Day on behalf of a generous resident who wishes to remain unidentified to help the league recover the costs of travel and expenses involved in their journey to the top.
