Legendary mixed martial arts coach Master Ricardo Liborio is coming to Jackson for 2 days of training seminars at the Karate Dojo located in The Jackson Crossings on Hope Chapel Road.  Master Liborio is the Head Instructor and Co-Founder of American Top Team, the country’s leading Mixed Martial Arts team. Master Liborio will be conducting both Beginner and Intermediate seminars November 7^th and 8^th.

Master Liborio’s current students and team members include World Extreme Cage Fighting World Featherweight Champion Mike Brown, UFC Welterweight star Thiago, “The Pitbull” Alves, Thiago Silva and Marcelo Garcia.   American Top Team currently trains over 60 of the top MMA fighters in the world with Master Liborio leading all training and instruction.

In February, Master Alders, along with one of his instructors and two students travel down to Coconut Creek, Florida for a three day intense training certification program at the American Top team complex.  While there Alders and staff had the opportunity to train with the likes of Mike Brown, Cole Miller, Thiago Tavares and Hector Lombard. Upon receiving certification from Master Liborio, The Karate Dojo commenced the only American Top Team training program in central New Jersey.

“The American Top Team program has really taken off.” states Alders. “Mixed Martial Arts and the UFC is the fastest growing sport in America and the world. With local New Jersey fighters like Frankie Edgar, Chris Liguori, Curt Pellegrino, Jim and Dan Miller all fighting on TV and Pay Per View, the MMA scene in New Jersey is just starting to explode.

The MMA program is a natural off shoot of our Karate program and a partnership with American Top Team is a perfect addition to our core Yuugou-Ryu curriculum. “ Alders created the Yuugou- Ryu system upon founding the Karate Dojo based on his 25 years of experience. Yuugou-Ryu translated means, ‘Fusion System” Alders has taken the best from six different martial arts styles including, Tae Kwon Do, Kenpo, Hapkido, Akido, Goju-Ru and Jiu Jitsu ( Brazilian and Japanese).
