We all know Barack’s half brother Mark Ndesandjo, but as Yoda once said in Return of the Jedi “There is another”.  Barack Obama’s estranged fourth cousin, Lydell may be feeling more hurt today as the media swarms to China as cousin Barack makes a public visit with his half brother Mark Ndesandjo.   Meanwhile, ignored fourth cousin Lydell Obama sits waiting in his rundown FEMA trailer hoping one day his presidential cousin will give him some loving.

Of course, Lydell is not real, he was played by all-star comedian and a star of the hit HBO television show Curb Your Enthusiasm, J.B. Smoove.    The skits were created last year by HBO to coincide with the presidential election in 2008.   In the skits, Smoove plays a controversial relative of Obama which was a parody of Obama’s family past where his father, Barack Hussein Obama, Sr. had three wives and seemingly countless children, including our current president, Barack Hussein Obama, Jr.

J.B. Smoove has become an almost overnight sensation thanks to his part as Leon, the always on and always in your face black friend living with the show’s creator and star, Larry David.  David was also the creative genious behind the Seinfield Show.
