Jackson, NJ – It was a very disappointing outcome for the family and the neighborhood at Presidential Estates in Jackson Township, New Jersey as Dennis Alicchio, 49 of Jefferson Court admitted only to giving an 11 year old boy alcoholic beverages between 2003 and 2008, despite giving a prior confession that more than alcohol was being served during that period.

That confession however might not have been admissible in the trial because Alicchio’s lawyer, S. Karl Mohel raised concerns about Alicchio’s constitutional rights being violated.

A resident of the development said “A fair amount of folks from the neighborhood have heard the confession, so it is very devastating that a person guilty of a crime like this gets off on some technicality, but those are the laws we live by!  He had a very good, expensive lawyer and it paid off for him.  The focus now is on looking out for each other and supporting the victim the best we can. ”

In an article in today’s edition of the Asbury Park Press, it states “Alicchio had been charged in an indictment earlier this year with various counts of sexual assault and aggravated sexual assault on the boy… The plea bargain calls for no incarceration, and Alicchio will not be subject to the provisions of Megan’s Law”.

According to bbb.org, Alicchio is listed as the President of A&W Maintenance Contractors, a property maintenance business which operates out of his home, according to the website.

One of Alicchio’s neighbors said “We as a neighborhood have come together to make sure that Dennis, and his son Justin, will not be anywhere near our children.  Dennis’ probation will include not being allowed around minors unsupervised.  It’s a shame that this was the outcome, but in the end if you believe in karma, at some point justice will be served.”
