Jackson softball parent thanks Mayor Reina cautions politicians

By

In a letter addressed to Jackson Township Council President Mike Kafton (D) , a local girls’ softball league parent wrote:

It’s refreshing to know that a politician in our town has chosen to stand up for girls softball.   A man who sees the needs of our youth, has taken the time to listen to the concerns of  parents and has stood firm in his decisions to make the changes in the recreation department that have been necessary for decades.

That man is Mayor Michael Reina.

While there are so many pressing issues in our community he has never dismissed the needs of girls recreational softball.    For more than forty years I have resided in Jackson Township, and also played softball through the recreation department, and for the first time positive changes are in the works.

Please do not attempt to halt this process with your political motivations.   This is not a political issue or platform to procure upcoming votes.   I am neither a Republican or Democrat and vote solely based on merit.

If you and your supporters choose to halt the process rather than help, nothing will ever change.

Sincerely,
Colleen Simonetti
