Jackson, NJ- Graduation Ceremonies were held at the Ocean County Fire and EMS Training Center in Waretown on January 27th   Firefighters Robert Avilla, Jean-Paul Bergeron, and Anthony Riso of the Cassville Vol. Fire Co. #1, along with firefighters from all over Ocean County celebrated successful completion of their Firefighter Level I certification and training.

“These 3 fine young men completed a course which currently takes about 6 months of two nights a week and most weekends to complete, which in itself, as volunteers is quite an awesome commitment.” Said John I. Alchevsky, Chief of Department at Cassville.
“Also, given that the Fall Semester ends right around the Holidays tends to make one’s personal life a little difficult, really makes for a great accomplishment.”

The addition of these three new firefighters, with the training they’ve received is a true asset to the fire service and residents of our town.

“The training has just begun for them,” cites Alchevsky, “there’s still plenty of further training, both on-the-job and schooling, that these gentlemen, and all of our members will continually undergo during the course of their volunteer career.”

We’re proud to have ‘em,” said Alchevsky.
