Open Your Eyes offers ongoing drawing and painting classes for adults and teens in Red Bank and Belmar, NJ. The instructors are Lizzi Schippert and Sven Widen, a husband and wife team of career professional artists. Classes are offered in all drawing and painting media, for all experience levels. Portfolio prep is a special program offered for teens who are applying to college-level art schools, or advanced highschool programs.
Plein air painting is also offered between May and October at beautiful outdoor locations all along the Jersey Shore.
The studio classes are offered with morning, afternoon or evening options either in Red Bank, or Belmar, NJ. The goal of these classes is to offer classical art instruction to adults and teens for personal or professional advancement and cultural enrichment for the community.
Open Your Eyes was started in 1993 to offer classical instruction in drawing and painting locally, as well as offering international travel workshops. Open Your Eyes has held painting workshops in Maine, Monhegan Island, Florida, Vermont, France and Japan. The instructors, Lizzi Schippert and her husband, Sven Widen, are classically trained professional artists who regularly exhibit their artwork in galleries and juried exhibitions.
