Seaside Heights, NJ -  The 2010 Seaside Heights St. Patrick’s Day Parade which was originally scheduled for last weekend, went off without a hitch this past Saturday.   It was rescheduled due to last weekend’s “Norricane” which dumped 7 inches of rain on Ocean County, combined with high winds which left trees power lines down across the county.    The storms left much of the barrier island battered and flooded.

This weekend’s parade was dedicated to the Wounded Warriors project.  You might remember this group from last year’s Wounded Warriors parade in which hundreds, if not thousands of Jackson residents came out to support our wounded veterans.

Thousands of residents from across the region lined the boulevard in Seaside Heights as veterans groups, classic cars, local radio stations, churches, pipe bands, scouts and others paraded by.  Skies were clear and the temperature was unseasonably warm.

Jackson kids hold up the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church banner before the parade.

Members of the Toms River Elks Club and Boy Scouts travel down the parade route in their deuce and a half and trailer in tow.
