Service helps New Jersey veterans find jobs
By Staff Report
VETERANS, Reservists, National Guardsmen and their spouses looking for employment can now access a new free job placement website operated by the Army Reserve.
“We encourage our many Ocean County veterans to take advantage of this new service,” said Freeholder Deputy Director Gerry P. Little.
While job placement and career training programs are also offered through the Ocean County Veterans Service Bureau, Little said the new website is another important tool for vets and their families.
“This is a new link between veterans and private employers who are looking for the discipline and experience veterans can bring to their companies,” Little said.
The website can be accessed at www.employerpartnership.org.
Freeholder Director Joseph H. Vicari said the service is especially important in Ocean County, which is home to more than 68,000 veterans.
“Having such easy access to potential careers benefits not only the veterans, but also the companies that want to take advantage of the unique skills and life experiences veterans possess.”
