6th Annual Menorah Lighting in Jackson

Bat Shalom Hadassah hosted the sixth annual Menorah Lighting at Town Hall in December. Rabbi Michael and Annie Klein of Congregation Ahavat Olam of Howell presented the message of Hanukah to the several hundred residents in attendance. Cantor David Amar led the Hebrew school students in performing several Hanukah musical classics to the audience. New Jersey Assemblyman Ron Dancer was on hand to present a proclamation to Bat Shalom Hadassah. The official Menorah lighting was conducted by Rabbi Michael Klein as Cantor Amar chanted the blessing of the candles. Candles were lit by Klein, Amar, Cantor Emeritus and members of Jackson local Yiddish heritage clubs.
