A multiple agency response was dispatched to the community clubhouse at Four Seasons at South Knolls in Jackson Township Wednesday evening.    Firefighters from Jackson’s Station 54, which is located just outside the entrance to the gated community, and Station 55 responded to the incident along with the Jackson Office of Emergency Management and Berkeley HAZMAT.  Three ambulances from Jackson First Aid were dispatched to the scene, along with 4 from Howell First Aid, 2 ambulances from Quality EMS, a hazmat unit from Southard Fire Department, Howell and support units.

A call came in to 911 at approximately 1:30pm for a chemical spill, reported by a maintenance worker..   At 4:30 PM, a vapor cloud forced the evacuation of the club house.

No major injuries were reported. More details will be available as they are provided.

On September 22, 2011, a similar incident occurred at the Westlake Country Club, another gated community for seniors in Jackson Township, involving pool chemicals.
