Jackson Fire Department busy in 2009 »
In 2009, Jackson Township Firefighters responded to 1,090 emergency calls, or an average of 3 emergencies per day. The majority of the calls were to assist residents with medical emergencies.
Firefighters responded to 70 fires in 2009, 60 of which where housing and structure fires and 10 were woodland and brush fires.
